Bobby Watts Announces Departure From Miniature Aircraft and sister Flyco Companies

After being with the Miniature Aircraft family for the past seven years, I would like to announce that I am moving forward and departing from Miniature Aircraft and sister Flyco companies. I have reached a point where I would like to move on in search of new and exciting opportunities in the RC community. This decision is one that I do not take lightly and is a mutual departure between both Flyco and myself. I will still aid in final Whiplash development and possibly with new projects, but it is time for me to look for other prospects in the RC industry.

I am excited to see what the future will bring and in the mean time, I plan on devoting as much time as possible to my other business adventures- Chimp Systems and SmackTalk RC. I would like to thank everyone in the Flyco family for supporting me over the years and for everything they have done to help me succeed in the world of RC.

From Chris Nelson, Owner of Flyco and related companies:

“We thank Bobby for all his awesome work. We think you are crazy and that you should come live in Montana with us, but we understand the bright future you have in the sun as well. We hope to see you at the Heliproz Funfly in July. It will be warm, I promise.”
-Chris

I greatly appreciate everything Chris and the rest of the Flyco family has done for me and I will see you all in July!

Sincerely,
Bobby Watts

Funny or not it's a good point. Not to say someone else is not going to pick up the hammer, but Bobbys involvement was that of design and support even after issues arose, so be interesting to see how the fixes come and from who and how timely now.

MA will need to obtain the best in the business to keep up. I just hope they keep us in the loop. Fortunately, this Doesent change anything for myself with MA products, as I fly the older outdated models.."I just don't Listen" "

The more I think about my last post, I'm going to Re-gres a bit. Originally my opinion was with BW gone, MA would need the best of the best big named pilot out there. Well, this is not the case now.

My new opinion is this. I would like to see MA keep doing what they are doing, and bring In some new blood. Perhaps a much younger professional that has not been corrupted by the industry yet. A true company man. Somebody that is willing to start in the trenches, and work himself up the ladder. Someone that learns the business inside and out. A true professional.

MA still has millions of pilots that fly for them, while still providing great feedback, and help the newbies like myself.

Bobby was/is everything you mentioned above in representing MA. He's a great guy and I am sure he will be missed. I think both the brand and Bobby will be successful in new endeavors.
