buying a used 10X, problems to look for?
I am considering buying a used JR 10X. Any potential problems to look for?

Thanks

That you don't pay too much.

Because the 11x and or 9503 are a lot more current.

The 10X has long since been replaced. You would be much better off with a 9503, 11X, 12X.Chris Berardi

internal memory battery may need to be replaced.

Much better modern radios for much less money in todays market.

used 10X
My vote PASS. Had them when they were new and sold them. Even a used DX-7 would be much better.
Good luck

aside from making sure that the sticks move freely and related switches, i would look at the condition of the battery and the leads from the battery going to into the transmitter case. also, scroll through the programming to make sure that it changes menus easily. 10X obviously doesn't have current features like model match and 2.4, but is otherwise a very decent radio. if you need 10 channels and the price is right, buy it, if not, consider a newer radio.
