Sad news, but I guess it was only a matter of time.

So who's replacing Bobby? Is MA accepting new pilot applications? Time to hit the sim guys!

There are certain terms and conditions that sponsored pilots must accept. Its called business.

What I find so encouraging is that when the top sponsored pilots are between contracts they all seem to fly the T700. Imagine that! When they have to buy their own helicopters they fly that crappy T700, just like ME!

Wouldn't you be upset if there was better stuff out there and you can't use it because of your sponsorship. That would upset me to if I had to perform in front of people, knowing my perfomance could be much better with other products.
Nobody is holding a gun to anyones head. If they would like to use another product that is not offered by their sponsor they can leave and try to get a sponsor for that product or buy it themselves.
The shops should tune themselve with the pro's and what they like rather than make them fly there products.
HeliWholesaler can kiss my a$$.
I think that statement is way out of line. He is being paid by them to fly their products. If he does not want to fly their products he can quit. Sometimes they can not obtain other products because other distributors have exclusive deals with them. They can't tailor their whole business around what Bobby likes. Nobody knows why he left because HE hasn't posted it on here and I'm sure he never will, but I am sure it wasn't because the products were holding back his flying skills.

Listen, this is all getting ridiculous. First someone leaked the info about Bobby departing and everyone speculated about how that just couldn't be. Then when you find that you were wrong and that it is true, you start speculating about why he left. You don't know the answer. Only Bobby truly knows. @Michigan Flyer, when it comes to HeliWholesaler, you may want to contact Jeff Green and get your facts straight before your propagate slander. I would explain things further but I know the rules on RR and how they relate to advertising. So all I will say is get your facts straight about how the operation works. And before the flames start coming my way, understand that I know that everyone has a right to an opinion. But, at some point we all have to grow up.Team Kontronik Team minicopter/PeakAircraft

Quit Speculating
Excuse me! But are Blades almost the important part of flight. If I told you, you had to fly a lesser blade would you enjoy your time flying? Or would you always fly wishing you could the better stuff.
Design the Whiplash but your not aloud to fly it with Radix blades.
Maybe the sponsored pros actually enjoy the hobby and don't look at it as a job.
You are speculating. Unless YOU have talked to Bobby, and HE has told YOU why he left, YOU are just spewing a bunch of fiction.

I think there is something wrong with pilots who fly a product only because they get some sort of sponsorship deal on it. It should be the other way around. You should choose the product that you want to fly, and if the company who makes that product wants to sponsor you, great. If not, then pay for it out of your own pocket.

Otherwise, what good is your recommendations? You know what they call people who pretend to love something (or someone) for money?

I see pilots who fly for one company, then the next year fly for another company, and then the year after that fly for another company. And with each company they fly for, they say, "This is the best product ever".

That's not being truthful.

I have had people offer me stuff for free if only I would publicly fly it, but I didn't want to fly it so I declined. On the other hand, I have paid out the nose for stuff I wanted to fly because I felt it was the best product on the market.

I would like to see others do the same.

I guess the way I see it is that if I design something to my own specifications, and I put my heart and soul into it, then it is going to be something I believe in to my very core. And as a result I am not going to want to fly anything else. So if for some reason I later on decide that I don't want to fly what I designed, then maybe I didn't put too much effort or too much of my heart and soul into designing it in the first place. And that's a shame. Because people should put their heart and soul into whatever they do.

I doubt this has anyting to do with flying one product or another. The product(Whiplash)is essentially Bobby's however I strongly suspect it has a whole lot more to do with having a good JOB. I doubt there is little to do with flying any heli, or blade but a whole lot to do with his future. He either has or is looking for a better position then he currently has. Bottom line is we won't know until he lets somebody know. He may or he may not.

I just hope that whatever the next step is for him that it makes for a comfortable life and enjoyable experience.

I would just like to say I think Bobby is a great guy and a huge asset to our hobby.

If people didn't move around to better themselves then everyone would still be at the first job that they started at.

To progress you need to move on sometimes.

I wish him the best and good luck in what ever he decides....

I agree. Sometimes An opportunity comes up that you can't pass up. What ever He decides to do, I wish him the best of luck. I heard he would help anyone out regardless of the heli that they were flying.
