Well jag , maybe a rebranded scorpion, no one likes to build a xera, nightmare to hand wind, rebranded , naw! One and half men crew building xeras, around 40 to 50 a month,
Easy for the scorcer scorp, machine can wind it, which is the wrong way , reason why it amps more and is a heater, efficiency isnt even in close ,

Well that does change things then, I remember a few years back , the scorp man email David, wanted a motor from Him, Divid new what he was going to do with it, sure see it now, in the scorp, did he have curved mags? Double bearing at the front of the shaft? Total 3 bearing?

Goblins
Im pretty sure they only got about 100 goblins in at helidirect

I think the next batch is still about a month out...

I have 2 of the quantum 4530's and will be using them soon...so we'll know how they perform soon enough

x-era or Quantum Motors
some infos about the x-era and the comming quantum.

I know for 100% that there is absolutely NO Oiling required on X-era Motors, eather on Quantums,,

Those bearings are filled up with Special Grease and if you put oil,it would even make the live shorter, coz it will be washt out,

the X-era 4530- fits the goblin perfect! no canopy mod needed!

the Quantums are NOT rebrandet X-eras, eather not Copys of it.

Its most-likely comming from the same Factory,, thats why the Quality and Performance is really nice,,

Plus 1 about the Quality issues i had with my Scorpi,,,, never again for me;(

The 2 stage gearing is equivalent to a 204T main gear.

Can I ask how people are knowg that these new Quantum motors are good?? I can't seem to find any real reviews or anything about them?? Apart from these or xera motors are there any other recommended motors out there. ??
Im not after huge amounts of power but around 2000hs and as long as possible flight times

Check feedbacks on the Outrage Motors i think Quantum are the same just reneamed becuase they sart this new Motor line, which has designed for the Fusion 50 recently,, they are very good, pilots say it outperforms the scorpion ,, and are head on head with the x-era performace, actually they clame it comes down cooler then the x-era, it could be because they juse fatter wires for winding, so better cooling.

Cheye,

You'd be wanting to look tab these then

http://www.xeramotors.com/index.php...uemart&Itemid=1

it is what I have in the Kasama. After Wayne flew mine he was stunned at the power difference, lack of heat and battery draw compared to his scorpion.

or if you really want some more grunt.

http://www.xeramotors.com/index.php...uemart&Itemid=1

Of course there is the insane

http://www.xeramotors.com/index.php...uemart&Itemid=1

Which is what we both have in our Goblins

Goblin fixed their manual to now show the correct 20T pinion gear and revised the gear ratios accordingly.

This might be a dumb question. But...... Will the 700mx align motor work on this heli?? I am a mild 3d kind of guy. And if it will what would be the best pinion for it?

I will be trying the 700MX on the STD pinion and I think it will go well. Stayed with a light setup using 4400mah packs!

That is until mu Scorp ultimate motor is made :-)

Very wise choice with the MX motor, if I'm wrong you can have a date with my cousin;

She may have put on a little weight since this photo but she digs guys that fly Helis.
