It did not work.

I never did it with the AR9000 because I dont have one. But it worked several times with my 7000 series Rxs. I will try other sat combinations next time to see if it works. Maybe I was just lucky...

selling you something that they know won't work together blows big time ! but at least there seems to be a fix for it (even if it's a bit of a pain in the a__) and need a extra component to make it work......

just one more reason not to use Spektrum, sorry i couldn't help myself, i take it back......

by the way what is this "bind" thing you all keep talking about ?

oh gees there i go again, sorry......

Update
Assurance RC

Did NOT call me back! When I think about it, The first time that I call, the supposed manager wasn't there, either, and they said they'd call me back, but never did. Deja Vu. What a bunch of lying losers.

I plan on calling them back tomorrow, and giving them a piece of my mind.

I was a fan, but now. With this total lack of support and the "We don't take anything back"[even if we know it doesn't work attitude].

I can say, DON'T buy align. Cause if it doesn't work you are stuck with it.

Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mpafonseca,

I plugged the sat into the AR7000 and went through the bind process one sat at a time. I plugged the sats into the 3Gx and now it seems to work? The system at least initializes. I still need to go through the set up process.

Not sure why it doesn't work with the AR9000?

I hope it works for you as it worked for me. I'm really curious to understand why are the receivers so different during the binding process. I don't know the way it works exactly but I expected them all to work the same, but I'm obviously wrong. If someone knows the details of the Spektrum binding logic and can share the knowledge it would very good to know!!

Cheers,
Marco

Sats flashing
I have somewhat gone through the setup mode, but.

The sats will start flashing immediately after initialization.

Or they will stay solid for a while, then I'll hear a servo and one of the sats will start to flash. Then the other sat does the same thing.

Not to keen on getting this in the air. If its losing signal with the Tx less the one foot away?

Any ideas what is going on here?

You may have issues if you are too close to the receiver/sats. Try placing your transmitter a few feet away from the satellites.Chris Berardi

I could try that....... But,
My bigger concern is that with the DX7, there were NO issues.

There is definitely a "BINDING" issue with the 9303. I don't want to put this in the air to find out that it doesn't work so well.

I'm wondering how many of these "my heli tilts to the left for no reason" or "all was well until flight number four" can be traced back to the plug in modules that appeared to be working.

Oh I hear you there. Nothing to bolster your confidence at all. I had a binding problem with my modular 9303 and two brand new AR7100R receivers. The third one bound without a problem. Horizon took care of me but I have no explanation as to why they wouldn't bind. Incidentally, the receivers would bind to my 12X, just not to my 9303.Chris Berardi
