1) Perform counter clockwise upright backward hurricane
2) At 9 o'clock position, apply right aileron to half roll the heli
3) Apply negative collective, and start performing clockwise inverted backward hurricane
4) At 3 o'clock position, apply left aileron to half roll the heli
5) Apply positive collective and repeat all of the above.

It's called "the Rudy". Sounds like a cool move.

It's pretty cool looking.

Bobby watts talks about it for a few minutes in Smacktalk Episode 12. You can add a pirouette into the transition in the middle, or tighten them down into just doing the transition very aggressively on the deck.

I'd download and watch the episode, he shows it pretty well.

Ok. So, it is the transition that makes the difference.

In most fig 8s, you roll out (unroll) to transition. In snake moves, during the arc, you roll into the circle as if you would be sucked in. Then with pitch change to go in the opposite direction.

It is a snake fig 8 or fig 8 with snake transition.

If you are doing that, you should be able to transition it to snake funnel fig 8.
