Want to know if anyone has slack between the main drive gear and the tail rotor drive gear. I have tried everything possible to get it out. The only thing it looks like I can do is install shims between gears.Has anyone else had this problem? and what do you do to correct it?

I know the the gear mesh between your pinion and main gear needs the right clearance but the main gear and tail drive gear will touch each other. Thanks for the input maybe Brian will respond!!!!!

Oh. now I understand.. sorry for being slow.

I had them touch. usually it is not a big problem. they only differ in speed during autorotation. I turned the main gear over and I got a little more clearance. An other way was just to pull the gears apart and the main gear stayed in its elevated position.

it is perfectly normal for the main gear to have some vertical play.

Yep, the 130T main gear normally has some up and down play. Usually there is a slight clearance between the 130T main gear and the 118T tail drive gear when fully assembled. (doesn't take much at all because the main gear floats)

If you like, you can flip the main gear over.... If that does not help, you can add shims between the two gears for a little more clearance (although I never did using the stock gears).

Well that's great to hear!!!! Just not use to the floating gear. This has been the best kit i have ever built. If it flies anywhere close to my 600 logo I will sell the logo and build the new ballistic. Thanks guys!!!
