Before I throw the 3G system through a Window, maybe someone can explain.

Just put it together, I've done these units on larger Heli's and had no problems. No matter what I do, this thing is highly unstable and all over the sky.
You barely input the slightest cyclic movement and the heli forcefully reacts in that direction. There is nothing smooth about it.

Messed with awash values and gains but cannot get it smooth.
Only thing I did was to use 3m double face tape, instead of mounting pad for gyro.

I use that same tape on my 700 Beastx and have no problems.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I bought it as a kit, it ended up a kit!

Update!

Ok...
Originally I had my swash values around 55 on aileron/elevator, this allowed me 12 Degrees of cyclic. For the hell of it, I backed it off to 15% and it is smooth and flys.

This makes no sense to me....

Backing off all it did wasd give you lower roll rate so inreturn smoother.

The heli should of been "Smooth" yet responsive at 12 degrees. It was unflyable though.

I will forward fly it tomorrow and try some 3d and see what happens.

55 is pretty low for 12 degrees. Sounds like you may need to come in a hole on servo arms.

You think it's a resolution thing?
Im going to fly it at 15 tomorrow. I don't expect a high roll rate buT I'll see.

Puzzling thing is " why won't the 3G fly stable @ 12 degrees?

I moved the srvo balls in to 12.5 mm, that got the resolution where it needed to be. Much Better!

You have to cut back your aileron and elevator swash mix. The traditional settings of 55 - 65 just don't work with FBL units. At least that's my experience with both Align 3G and Gaui FES units. Start with a setting about half you'd normally use. This should give you a safe flying heli. Adjust the value up or down from there depending upon your desired control response.

I suspect this is the same for most FBL units that you have to set in your transmitter. BeastX was quite different, as all the setting are done in the control unit.

Regardless, I fly Gaui FES (2 units), Align 3G (2 units), and a BeastX (1 unit) with no problems.
