So after a pretty hard flight, I auto down to find smoke,
this is a trex 600 nitro with ds 610s on cyclic, 9254 on tail,
and the align volt. reg.
with the stepdown on the tail.
So I auto down where the starting shaft goes theirs smoke, electronic smoke(could tell due to the smell)
It smells like its comming from the align reg. or the tail servo. Anyone have an issue with any of these? The receiver is the futaba SB 8ch, 6108SB, No ideas... Pluged everything in and seems to work fine, but Id rather have an issue on the ground than in the air...

Check your start shaft bearings. If a ball locked up and just started burning it would have a similar smell.

How many flights you have on that? this can also be the clutch as well, check your clutch liner, of course this include all front servos and the bearings block...

Let us know how it turns out!

Definately no problems with the 9254 on the tail. Electronics typically arent going to work once they let the magic smoke out. Smell each item.

I still think is somewhere around the clutch liner and it is new, is the clutch bell spin freely around the clutch? I know this is kind of silly but I am just curious....thank you

My vote is on a slipping clutch, even though I don't have enough info and nobody frickin' asked me.

I own a 600N and I cannot see what else can smell like that? if it is not electronic it's got to be the clutch system... but will see...

Voltmeter. This ensures its not putting out more than it should and take the tail servo with it as well.
