I have a Hyperion DUO charger and a 1200w, 50amp, 24V power supply.. Seems like I am limited to 2C on the Hyperion.. Not sure how I can change the parameters so I can charge 10-12C

I.E. when I charge my 6s 2600 packs, the maximum charge on one port is 5.2A, I cant increase that..

another example

charging my 3s 900 packs, it shows 1.8 as the maximum, I cant increase that.

Is there a way that I can charge more amperage or 10-12C using the hyperion DUO by changing something....

Im using TP 65C packs FYI

Any advice would be appreciated!

Michael

Hit the 'Mode' button 3 times until it reaches 'User Setup' menu and scroll down to 'Lipo Max C' and increase that. Mine max out at 5C but I don't have the latest firmware which might allow more than 5C, not sure.

Duo
My Hyperion DUO user setup did not have lipo max C's.. The only parameter I could change was the power supply voltage and power supply amperage..

Weird, maybe I have the older Duo...

In order to charge a pair of 6S 2600mAh packs at 10C you will need a charger that outputs 650W per channel. This will require somewhere around 1500W from your power supply.

The new Super Duo chargers are 500W per channel, limiting you to 7C for 6S 2600mAh packs. That's plenty fast, just sayin...

I haven't tried this (I have a "duo" as well), but changing the battery capacity in the setup menu might alow you to go higher for the charge capacity.

So if you set the lipo to 2600 and limited to charge at 5C (which would = 13 amps), try increasing the lipo capacity from 2600 to 5200 or 7800.

hi
So it doesnt matter what "mah" ratings I put in as long as I regulate the amperage? In other words, I wont pump 5200 mah's in a 2700 pack?

Thanks

You can update your firmware here but beware it's a sweat inducing progress as very easy to stuff up you charger for good!! http://media.hyperion.hk/dn/pc/eosfw.htm
