This upgrade cost a whopping $9 and probably could have been done for less. Here is a short video of an indoor test flight. Yes I know it's a very bad idea to fly in a 4x4 space. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cId7JsVxPhQ

I found them on eBay, search for "LED helicopter" or something to that effect. I Just found another source for some brighter ones. Here's the link. I've never done buisness with them and I believe they are in China. http://store.flytron.com/12-rc-light-systems

The ones used in this post were priced around $10 total for everything. The wires actually broke about half a dozen times until I had repaired them all and then they were good. If you can solder check into buying just the LEDs and wires etc...

I've been bit by the FPV bug and have been thinking about adding some more practical LED lights, especially for flying around sunset.
