Not dead, just not immediately ready. If you turn on the radio and flip a switch to go into idle1, it won't unless you tell the radio that you want idle1 on tht switch.
That's what makes it such a nice radio, you can put anything anywhere you want.

When you set up your conditions (normal, idle up 1, idle up 2)and so on. You assign a switch to operate the function at that time, from that menu...any switch you want. Like all of Futaba's top end systems, you are not locked into the location the engineer likes, you can decide for yourself, what works best for you.

I wish I could say the same thing about my "top of the line" radio.

Futaba
I just recieved the new Futaba 8F from Rons, I dont care for the plastic style sim case but the Radio does have alot of features, It is very easy to dial in on the 750, I found Rons video on setting up the 750 more helpful than Bobbys,In fact it was Rons video that sold me on the radio, the deal breaker is the 750 software in the 8.
