I want to make sure I have the servo going in the correct direction for my Trex600. Can someone tell me if I move the stick left or right if the top of the servo arm should move forward to backward or clockwise or counter clockwise.

The following applies provided tail rotor is turning counterclockwise when viewed from the right side of heli.

Turn tail rotor blades to that they are in a horizontal plane (in line with boom). The blade facing forward should have leading edge pointing upwards while rear blade leading edge is pointing down.

Now when you apply LEFT rudder, the leading edge of the tail blade that is facing forward and up, should go to the RIGHT (oppossite).

Ok here's an easy way to check.
Set tail blades straight up and down bend top blade toward the front of heli as far as it will go.

Move tx lever to the left tip of top blade will point to the left.

Or in other words the tip of the tail rotor will point in the direction
you want the nose to go in.

In this config left stick tail blade will point left and right stick tail rotor tip will point right

Hope this helps
