A while back I accidentally pulled the plug off of the battery wire (coming from PCB). It was a simple fix; just took one of the stock charging leads, cut off the plug that goes into the charger, stripped the wiring on that end, spliced it with the remaining wire coming from PCB and soldered. Now, it might just be me..but it seems there is not as much power as there used to be.. I replaced the motor to see if that might be the issue but it seems there is still less punch than normal. As far as I know, there is a good splice and I solder pretty well so is it possible that this is the only explanation for the power drop?

Hey GreenLeaves,

I haven't taken my mCPX out of the box yet but being an Electronics guy I would guess that the charge lead is a smaller gauge wire than the power lead.
Smaller wire will cause a voltage drop when the amps go up as in when you are flying.

Just my educated guess.

yeah I contacted HH and believe it or not the charging leads (wire from charger to battery) are the same gauge and same exact wire as the one coming from the PCB. oh well I think I'm just ready to go BL

Mcpx Punch
Check your pitch. Maybe main shaft and gear mesh is not tight as it is when new. Sometimes main gear slips when punch because shaft is too warn. Solid cf shafts can be found at Http://tmkarc1hobby.com
Good luck...

yeah problem is I already make my own solid shafts, no gear slippage, and mesh seems pretty snug. I've concluded that she seems weak because I'm simply craving more power. It's probably because I had the pleasure of flying my friends mini protos last month..the comparison to my little mCP X has ruined the stock motor experience to say the least.. time for BL
