Hi,

I'm getting back into the hobby, after many years. All these coaxial, mini's, micros and even the (new) large (400/500/600 size) electrics are just incredible these days! Wow!

I hope I'm posting this question in the right Forum - My question is in Re: to which DSM2 transmitter I should get?

I've already done some searches of old topics, but couldn't find what I'm looking for.
I guess it's not that difficult of a question - I hope?
OK, here goes:

I find myself practically drooling over all these new Helis. I plan to (slowly) collect a small "fleet" of Coaxial, Mini's and maybe even a 400-sized heli...

My question is: Which DSM type of radio should I buy? One that I'll be able to "BNF" to the models of helis that I plan to buy?
I was hoping that someone here has already done something similar; to what I'm planning?

I've compiled a list, of all the Heli's that "I've got my eye on" - Which may explain a bit more? (it would help, if the transmitter isn't too expensive!) So, I would appreciate it, if someone could please tell me which radio I should buy? Would a DX6i be able to control all these Mini's?

List of Heli's that I want to control:

Helizone Firebird
E-Flite Blade, CX2, CX3, mSR RTF
Align T-Rex 100S
GYRO Sky Wolf 338 3.5CH

Should I buy a decent RTF package, that includes a good TX? And then use that same TX as my main radio, to control the other Heli's?

Thanks!

fwiw...

I'm afraid that you may run into trouble with the various helis you list....All the Blade BNF helis are compatible with the Spektrum radios; the T Rex and others listed use their own radio protocols...

Just being on 2.4 does not automatically mean all radio systems work with each other...

Welcome back, and Good Luck!!

John.

Ah-Ha...OK. Thanks very much. Well, at least I know that I can get a few Blade Helis (for example) and run them all off the same radio (BNF).

Thanks again!
