Matt could you please make another canopy option for the e7. I really like this model it appears to be very well built! As far as the canopy it doesn't have to be painted. I don't care if its a little heavier. Im just looking for a more modern canopy to match a modern Heli. I will definitely be picking one up soon. BTW, that tt system looks to be the most advanced I've seen to date.

Although the canopy is different, I don't mind the looks now. However one thing I'd rather see more is the material of the canopy being abit thinner and more flexible, like Logo or Compass heli canopies are. Reason being is current form is abit tough to bend around, even being carefull and cracks easy.

If Matt makes another style cool, but I'm fine with way it is now, just need it easier to put on and off without damage.

I'd like to see it look more like the N9 canopy. Probably the nicest style canopy I've seen.

When I first saw the canopy for the N5c and E6/7 I thought I'd want an aftermarket canopy. After receiving it and seeing it in person the first time I changed my mind. I personally love the pearl white with an accent of orange/ blue or green/ blue. I had an aftermarket canopy painted for the N5c and while it looks real nice, it is also heavier. The heli doesn't balance out when I put the new canopy on so I just have it as a shelf ornament . To me Synergy has always had a defining place with their appearance and Matt has kept that alive with the new N5c and E6/7.

504Rone, if you haven't seen it in person yet, give it a chance. Once you fly with it I'll bet you like it more.

What about the E7 canopy is not modern? It was designed in 2011 so it's pretty modern by my standards.

Matt spent quite a lot of time on the design of this canopy and IMO it came out quite sexy...

seldred,

I think he is talking about the actual shape of the canopy not being modern. Nothing related to the paint scheme.

Shape is fine fits the brand really. Only small gripe is its flexibility and ease of install and to take off. Great your all over stuff Matt!

Thanks OICU812!

I try to keep an open mind for new ideas. Canopy shape and color scheme are always the hardest to make everyone happy. So far I'm batting 999 on the canopy shape and about 800 on the color scheme. The color scheme is easy.... I will have two "special" options available very soon. After market companies like Canomod and Fusuno will likely be right behind me with their offerings as well.
The shape is a little harder to offer a variety but I am willing to look at new ideas. Who knows, 504Rone may have the next hot canopy shape that sweeps the industry similar to how the Synergy N9 canopy influenced the canopy shapes we see today.

I like the shape and color scheme. I do think the vent should be moved forward a bit. This would allow for better airflow over the ESC.

As far as getting the canopy on and off I use a pair of Quick UK magnetic mounts for the front and the stock mounts in the rear. The mag mounts that fit are the short ones that come as part of the mounting set for the Align 700N. These along with a set of stock 700 grommets/canopy nuts fit the front location perfectly and allow the canopy to go on and off in a snap. I have checked with Budd at Quick UK and he will supply the short mounts as a set. I should have some in a couple of weeks.

I don't know what you don't like about this canopy, modern shape (fits perfect to the Synergy brand), modern colors. Matt for me leave it 100% as it is I think it's great, loved it for the time I've seen it at IRCHA.

No knock on Matt's design or even Jason Krause's old N9 design, but the best part of a Synergy has always been the canopy shape. If you go back, people HATED the N9 when Jason and Todd first debuted it.

IMHO it is the best looking of all time. The N9 is the standard by which most all heli manufacturers look at for inspiration.

See... to each his own.

This Dave Yost paint job set the standard for years. The one on the heli.

Get a Insane paint job on a current canopy and let Oat alter the windshield line and you would be AMAZED at what just paint can do. Nothing wrong with what is out. Nothing at all.

SO, "not modern"? I love it man. Not sure what you mean by not modern looking.

It has, sleek lines to fit the rest of the machine.
Tell ya what i'm impressed with this heli from tip to tail. Perfect
servo layout, motor in the "Correct" location, fits a wide varitiey
of battery configurations. I even managed to stuff 14s 4400 TP batteries in it. Super smooth and quiet gearing. Price is way more than right. Matt is one of, if not The coolest cats out there..

What more could you ask for?

100% approval IMO...

The shape of the canopy is one thing. If you just don't like the paint or windshield line that is an entirely different one and you just go need to have a custom one done.

I never said I wanted him to change the canopy. I only asked for an alternate canopy that didn't even need to be painted. I think the best word to describe what im looking for is a flashier canopy.

Canopies and colors are very personal. Nothing wrong with voicing an opinion or suggesting alternatives. I agree with most of you that the shape is really nice. I like the base colors but I've flown custom paint jobs with high contrasts for years so for me It is different looking at this model in the air. I have no complaints on the canopy, more options would be a bonus.

For those looking for a very low cost and quick secure canopy mount system I have an option. I've been using the stock grommets in the front and then $1.99 Lowes quick release key chain rings in the back. Simply remove the key ring part, open the whole in the canopy to allow for a larger grommet and install. Same performance as the expensive quick release mounts all for $4 plus grommets.
