I have a Hacker 470kv with a Kontronik 80Hv, set mode 4, 9 and 10 and works great. When only using mode 4 I had a tail wag added mode 9 and mode 10 and this fixed the problem. I find that this motor is smooth and quite and gives me all the power I can handle. Only have 26 flights on it yet. I think that the Scorpion motors, while very good, are not smooth while turning by hand while my Hacker and my Pyro are.

I have 50 flights on Hacker 470 and Jive 80hv.
tried mode 4 and recently ksa mode 10, and honestly
could not tell of any difference.
Both modes work great with Hackers Turnados.

Why would mode 9 help with this issue?

To hover is divine, the alternative is rather PLANE.

It didn't. Mode 9 has NOTHING to do with the governor. His problem was something else.

I had a lot of flights on this motor. You should NOT be running Mode 10 on this motor. Mode 10 is for the older Hacker Electric Turbine a TOTALLY different kind of motor.

This motor is standard construction and Mode 10 will not do anything at all.

Mode 1
Mode 4 - Mode 11 if you have different aged packs or C ratings.

The governor is adjustable with a ProgDisc or or Program Card II, but Mode 9 has nothing to do with it. I believe it is Lipo mode to tell ESC where to cut if you fly it too low.

Go Fly.

I have over 5 years experience with Jives and run them solely.

OK Futura SE so what is my problem then. I could tell you that after programming mode 10 I had no more tail kicks. Thanks for you input to help me have a even better flying heli.

Mode 10 has to due with changing the pwm frequency and timing. You probally had a slight bind on the tail rotor linkage that is gone.

KSA mode on my Jive 80HV solved a problem I had with shutdowns on the Hacker 470kv.

Mode 10 can be run if you want, no harm whatsoever. It just restrict control band of the Jive. You'd run it if you have problems on mode 4 or 11, like esc cutting out, as on Align 700MX motor.

Can the Jive HV80 also be used with the Hacker A50-10L-580 motor on an E6? Or must I use a Jive or CC 120

You probably can get away with it on 10s, as it will pull more amps at lower voltage than 12s. But use a good heatsink.
