Maybe someone has had this happen before and can give some advice, as I am at a loss with this one. I am running an old OS 91 SX-H C-Spec pumped version (Blue Head) and it is putting out lot more smoke than it should at a decent mixture. So much that the other guys have complained when I fly and it runs over the pits.

Here is some info:
1-1/4 out on the high speed
slightly lean on the idle mixture (11:30 position)
1 turn out on the fuel return
CP 20% (No difference with 30%)
OS 8 Plug

Note: I just tried running it without a pump and there was also no difference

Thanks in advance for any help that you can give.

If the engine is running smoothly at the needle settings, the last thing that should worry you is excess exhaust smoke. CP low vis fuel does that. The C-Spec is utterly intolerant of ANY kind of lean run. If it's running well though a bit rich, leave it the heck alone and enjoy it.

Yes, that is the problem, in that it seems that I have it running very smooth and at the correct settings. It is just too smokey. I will leave it alone. Thanks very much for your answer.
