Does anybody have a fast tail respones on their 50 se. My rate seems slow compared to align 600. Any certain size tail blades better than the other? I have my travel limits maxed out too. Just could be a lot faster in my opinion

Travel rate is at 100 in my Dx8 on rudder. Is that what you were asking?

Add more to it on both sides and you'll gain piro speed. Remember it now controls piro speed, not servo travel.

Check your servo, it may be getting weak. 100 ATV should give very fast piro speed. I assume you are running at least 2000 HS and 95mm tailblades.

What is your Gyro/servo?
My 50 has JR770 and 8900 servo.. It spins into a blur both ways.

How far is the ball link out on the servo horn?

Align Ds650 with mini G. I have 92mm tail blades.

Sorry,I never flown a mini-G. But 92 mm tailblades are the norm. They should be the same size as a T-rex 600 shouldn't they?

It has to be something to do with setup. I have my ball link about 12 MM from servo horn center. I know nothing about the miniG but if you post your gyro gain, maybe someone else can answer if you are in the ballpark. The distance of the ball link from servo center is proportionate to gyro gain.

would it not have to do with the amount of speed and pitch the tail blades are able to produce? I thought gain was on how well it held your heading. I thought I had the trow set to the limits but I will check it again.

Depends on a couple of the things mentioned.
Raptors used 92mm so the mains won't touch the tail if they flex down durring some maneuvers. Check boom lenght you may be able to go to 95mm which is what T600's come with.

When you setup your gyro on the bench set your RUDDER ATV channel throws to 100% then for 50 sized helis usually you will be 3 holes out on the servo arms. 450's about 1 hole, 500 2 holes, 50/T600 sized 3 holes, and T700/90 sized 4 holes on servo arms.

Use the internal throw setup on the gyro itself to set your limits of the throw so no binding end to end on the pitch slider on the bench.

THEN go fly try and set your RUDDER ATV ammount for inflight piro rate and gain percentage for heading holding power and rate hold.

Usually if not a fast enough piro rate there isn't enough throw getting through, like said at 100% you should have a pretty good rate of rotation. You use the seperate left and right RUDDER ATV to set the piro rate to match for left and right rotation in the air. They won't probably be the same but will be different due to the torque left less, right more as it's fighting the main blades torque left is going with torque or unwinding.

Oh No Someone Please Stop Me Before I Go Broke With This Heli Thing!!
