I having some trouble with my 3GX unit on my 700e. I was doing some flips and full climbouts after and the heli did a half roll to the right all on it's own. Scared the say light out of me so I landed and double checked everything. I tried different gain settings, but it didn't help. Even tried a different RX pack figuring maybe the lipo is getting low, but still the same problem. Same thing happen to my buddy as he was pushing his 700e a few weeks ago. He pulled the 3GX and out in a Vbar on his and the problem never happened again. It must be a setting on the computer that I am missing or not doing right?...

Also I'm getting a left drift when I'm doing tic tocs. I made sure all links are center, re-calibrated the unit, used a swash tool to get the swash perfect and even tried Leon's settings. The heli flew better, but I'm still getting the left drift. I even tried some EXPO just to make sure that it was not me giving left aileron on accident. I don't know what else to adjust. I feel like pulling out the 3GX and installing my Micro Beast.

how is the 3gx mounted? what tape are you using? typically if you get any aileron drift, its a vibration issue and can be resolved with different mounting tape.

700e are usually pretty smooth. If it is vibrations you can try the spartan sandwich...tape metal plate than tape and strap it down tight.

Low voltage can do that on a FBL system. I've seen this on V-Bar and CGY750.

AZ_HELIGUY is correct we need to know how its mounted first off. And the red backing tape WORKS! I have bad vibes and im using 2 layers of red backed and the thing will hover hands off for a few. Where are your gain pots at? and did you program the 700 settings in when you set it up?

thanks guys. I'm using the stock align tape that came with the 3GX. I'm using the 700e setting and followed Leon's tips and setting that I saw over on HF. I'll have to check the blades again to see if they are balance. Everything looks very smooth. No vibes that I can see in flight from the tail fin. The 700 has been flying fine for the first few flights, but just recently got this problem.
I have the gains set as 100% on the screen as suggested by Leon. It's very strange because the heli will only roll over on it's own if I give almost full collective and some cyclic for the hard flips. That's why I thought the rx pack might be low on juice. I'm using a 2s 2200mah 40c pack and tried 2 different packs just to make sure it wasn't a rx pack problem.
Maybe I'll try to use a different tape. But just from normal flying around doing slow flips and rolls there's no problem. Only when I start to smack it I get these problems :/ Kinda scared to fly it anymore because I almost lost it a few times when it rolled over so suddenly.
