The weather here really sucks. It is either raining or too damn windy to have any fun lately (at least on my days off). And now they are predicting early snow. It is too freakin' early to pack up for the winter. I fly in the winter anyway, but if this crappy weather keeps up, this is going to be a long winter

Oh well, got to fly a bit the other day, so I shouldn't complain.

Is anyone giving up for the winter or are you going to tuff it out and fly?

In NJ, it looks like a war zone. Snow too early before the foliage caused 10x more downed tree limbs than during Irene.

Took me 2 hours to drive 10 miles of road closures like a maze. I ended up driving through "Do Not Enter" signed one way just to get unstuck. Power outage all over as many many local power lines are down and the temps are around 32deg.

That sucks...Hopefully it will all end soon. I have a few friends on the East Coast, but have not heard how things are going for them yet.

It was more scary than during Irene. I would hear cracking from trees everywhere. I have to remove 75-100lb limb from my front door steps. As I was dragging the limb to get out, one fell on left neighbor and another on right neighbor. Across the street, one had to be pulled aside to get into the driveway.

red,
You mean crap like this?

I left New Jersey 36 years ago and never looked back.
With weather like this I am really glad I live in SoCal.

Thanks, TheWoodCrafter
