Just a vid of my 330X-S flying FPV, getting some stick time and finally feeling comfortable. Everyone needs to experience FPV flying, it is an ABSOLUTE BLAST!

wrongler, you need to stick with it! It is definitely a completely different experience than line of sight flying, I still have to take a deep breath every time I take-off. Extremely exciting, that's for sure.

Really cool Al!
Can you bring that setup to OHB club in December? I plan to be there for about 10 days flying at that club and would love to see your setup. My setup is done on a little electric decathlon that I fly FPV with, its a little different that yours in the fact where its always moving forward. If possible I'd love to see how yours goes and how easy it is to fly fpv.

Great work!

Don't be breaking anything now
You already went above and beyond going into the gazebo a couple of times and during landing you actually backed up and was in danger of hitting one of the poles behind you. Enough luck pushing!

Thanks Juz! Means allot coming from the master himself.

Here's another cut of the flight above, along with some other flights. A little more interesting than the raw footage.

No PPL, not yet at least. FPV is the closest I'll get for now.

Got a few PM's about the rig, so I bring photos.

Al that is friken awesome man!!!!

One question and a serious one. Watching this vid reminds me alot of first getting into FPS games, did you find at first that you would feel sick or off balance in any way doing this? Looks like an incredible experience!!

Thanks Dr.Tim!

Shawn to answer your question, YES, at least flying with goggles. I'm used to it now, but when I first started I found myself leaning around in my chair while I was flying. After a few flights I realized that the picture didn't move when I did. Also, the sound of the quad flying around me was very distracting. Using headphones, hearing the onboard audio actually helped me allot with orientation.

I think FPV interest is about to explode, especially with multi-rotor platforms. I'm having more fun with this than 3D.

I can see how this wild be addicting! Not looking for exact price but at this point Al what would you say a guy should set aside cash wise to create a solid reliable setup??
