Id like to order myself a christmas present. I was looking at the n9.

Its still a beast, flies amazing, and can go fbl with $$$.

Any news on a new 90 size model. Hopefully flybarless?

And someone said sometime 2012.

Maybe Matt B could chime in a give a date a little more accurate before i put 1000 dollars on a kit when a new model could be available in 2 months to 14 months....

Thanks!

Wait, In the UK the N9's seem to be getting sold off by retailers cheaply at the moment. What do they know?? Also I heard that some spares now aren't coming through and looking in to different sources to get them made up.

Another option is buy a used one see some good ones from time to time popping up they don't fetch high $ anymore.

Iv'e had 6 N9's but moved on now its time for a C version :-)

You could do alot worse than an N5C its great, big compared to other 50's and flies really really well.

N9
There is a New Design Lurking upon the drawing Board. Rest assured it will live up to and beyond the Coveted N9. Matt has had along time to think about This One, and good things Will Come to those who wait. and yes the N5c is a bigger heli and does fly when properly set up like a 90. And I think 2012 Possibly.

Cheers,

Kevin

interesting
So not to steer away from synergy in the synergy forum...................... but what other brands do you synergy n9 guys find are "similar in quality and flight characteristics"...

I have an N5 and it blew my mind how it tracks and is stable like my old vibe 90. Loved that thing. Thats why id like to stay synergy. I currently dont own a 90 and after flying the synergy n5 fbl im honestly more into this hobby then i have ever been.

I want to order a 90 so santa can bring it to me x mas.

Im suck between an N9 and a vibe SG.. And it will be fbl for sure.

Anyone flown both?

I've tried most 90's out there and settled on the Srimok Eco. Very high quality, lightweight and flies superbly (flybarless of course). Most 90's have their pro's and cons. JR over here just isn't viable, lack of spares and super silly pricing. Most I know who had them have sold them as rumor is something else is in the pipeline.

90's I have had this year, and in order of how I would buy them now.

Srimok Eco,
Avant, RJX head not Rigidcore,
Srimok,
Hirobo D3,
Synergy E9,
Elyq Vision 90 (why oh why!!)

and the machine I pick up and fly the most N5C.

I just wouldn't buy a brand new N9 just doesnt make sense its out of the running however a great used one can be had. To make it flybarless requires some thought to get the best out of it so be prepared to scratch your head a little. Here is a link to my Synergy when I had one.

I have two N9's with a whole bunch of spare parts....

I'm hoping the owners of the 1st N9 will be able to update the configuation to the nex gen N9....now that would be great!

The N9 rocked, but it was designed in 2004 and is a geriatric by today's standards. Except for some bolts and maybe a spacer or two, I wouldn't count on too much compatibility.

If we ever see a new N9 or N12 my primary request is that the canopy be *exactly* the same shape.
