Well, I was sincere in asking, not to question anything that Ma would do, or any other manufacture for that matter, just wanting to know....

Personally I run a 8mm, for cry from the 6mm of the old Predator days... I think what I have can do the job good at 2000 and below for the big machine...

I guess what I"m saying is my wish is for all the manufactures to start looking at this, and not just use whats left ... I will almost bet that any machine would be smoother using these new outlines...

Ok I guess I will hold off on the 2200hs since 2100hs is working fine. I will be looking at other FBL Heads to see what they are rated at.

Safety is first and that is all that matters. Also my Heli is flying awesome at 2100hs I just wanted to push it to experience and learn more instead of reading about it.

But for the record the RC version can be turn hard really hard and get more form an gasser engine.

Thank you all for everything you have brought to this post. Thanks!!!

wasn't trying to be smartass, if you took it that way, sorry not my intent

the whiplash axle appears to be 9mm (found the bearing size)

to your point, the shafts are getting bigger. The G4 has a 15mm mainshaft, its thin walled and hollow and amazingly light (its also $30)

the G4 appears to have an 8mm axle

I was under the impression it was 10mm.....hollow is much stronger....

Nevertheless, if the whiplash is 9mm, then I can see the higher RPMs safer......Mechanical pull test and such can get you in the ball park, but only dynamic testing for long periods is the true test...

Who wants to try the 720's ? hehe

Post or not to post on this topic, that is the question.

I will simply say this. There are a lot of Trex 700s out there being spun up to 2300 RPM. There are a lot of Trex 600s out there being spun up to 2400 RPM. The electric versions of these helis weigh as much as some of the gassers out right now. Is it right or wrong. I have no idea. But it is being done and I have not heard of anyone slinging any blades or head parts as of yet. Granted they have 10mm and 8mm spindles, respectively.

I have run the Radikal 30 Plastic/Metal head at 2100 RPM for months without issue. I am running a metal head now at 1950-2100 RPM without issue. Both of these have 8mm spindles. ** This does not mean that Century condones it nor do I.

All I am saying is that it was/is being done and the risk is yours for sure. But it is also being done with quite a bit of success.

Can I possible talk in a bigger circle

The new T600e Pro is designed to run at 2500 rpm's, not my taste, mine is governed down to 2150.

Humm!!! So is been done. Wow!! 2500hs. I'm getting curious again. But for the record I will do some research on the head I'm using. I know RJX have a 8mm spindle and 10mm hub for the main shaft.

Again SAFETY IS FIRST.

So the new 700 head can be used in higher RPM's too. Hmm. I am using it on my Helibug 700.

This is my model a deep pre- flight check is a most very time you are going to fly. I always check and recheck bolts, linkages, servos, head screws etc. When I perform a test I do it for no more that a couple of minutes. This way I can do a deep pre- flight check for every test. That's why the 2 videos I shoot and post here on my other post is only 2 minutes the most.

Again safety first. I'm not saying that nothing can happen because anything can happen but I will always make sure everything is they way it should be.

Gentlemen be save than sorry. Thank you for all your input and concerns this is good and informative.

Hope this help!!!

It´s fuuny to say that gasser machines are running 2100+ head speeds...

I think it´s great that some guys have already realized the kind of power that a gasoline engine can deliver.
The more gasser helis out there the more development.
That´s what we all require.

Happy autos!!

+1 for your comment!! There is lot of potential on this gasser. The fat lady gasser myth is vanishing.

hmm
We can all be happy at not bogging any longer doing funnels with a 23.

I get the 2100 pop. Why not go for the widest cord blade out and compensate a little on headspeed speed. Unless your torque curve is still climbing sharp which it should not you would not lose anything and still will have good snap.
