I'm having problems with a NIB AR9010 and 2 satellites with a DSM2 module in a Futaba 9C. Binds OK and seems to control everything, but then I look at the fades on the data logger and it counts off like a clock and all of the LED lights flicker. It eventually hits the maximum number of fades on all receivers (A,B,L, R) with a few frame losses and holds. Same thing with three different module transmitters and battery packs. Seaching on the net, I found two other instances of this occuring, but no solution. One person sent it back to Horizon and got a new DSMX RX, but same problem occurs. Something with the module systems (both Futaba and JR versions). Called Horizon and they had no clue but to just send it in. I originally sent in an AR9000 for repair and got back an AR9010. No chance of them sending me back an AR9000. Any one have any ideas? Thanks.

I thought DSM(2/X) was JR and FASST was Futaba, completely different modulation. Shouldn't you have a FASST module?

It's a Spektrum module that allows Futaba transmitters to transmit in DSM2 mode. Been out for years, but just noticed that it's no longer on Spektrums web site under the Air>Module Systems tab. Probably because they are going DSMX and doing away with future DSM2 support all together. DSMX is not supported in the module systems.

Found an old link on the Spektrum web site:

I suspect your module has been obsoleted. Microsoft obsoleted my Laserjet 4MP by removing the driver from XP. Buy a new TX.

I would buy a new TX as well. I just did (2 weeks ago) actually and got the JR X9503. I went from an 8103 and instead of getting a module decided there's too many benefits in getting a brand new TX.

Call Horizon back and find out more info. That combo should work. If not I'm sure you could trade that rx for a 9000 or a JR921

If you are happy with the tx, keep it imo. DSM2 is advertised to work with DSMX receivers and visa-versa

DSM2 receivers are compatible with a DSMX transmitter and will work in DSM2 mode.

Your receiver should be fully compatible with your module.

Old transmitters are not obsolete, nor are old receivers.
