This thread had made me feel better about my small fleet of 10 RTF birds. I fly them all.

RTF:
2 Synergy N9's
2 Trex 700N's
2 Trex 600N's
MA Fury 55
Hirobo SDX
Synergy N5
Mini-Titan

Spare Airframes
2 N9's
2 Trex 600's
Fury 55
SDX

That and boxes of spare parts, engines, blades, servos, etc.

Early on, one of my heli Mentors told me to keep my 450 (I was already wanting to upgrade to a larger heli when I could barely fly figure 8's) until I had it mastered. He was right and I think my skills progressed faster by doing so. Each heli has it's own feel, roll/flip/collective rates, so if you keep changing helis all the time and don't get used to any one, your brain will always be "getting used" to a new heli, rather than getting comfortable enough to try new stuff.
Exactly. Best advice ever.

If you have more than 1 heli (plus a backup of exactly the same heli) just starting out, you are doing a disservice to yourself.

very good point i am still a novice and i repair birds for some of the beginners in the lb la area's and in the repair biz you get to feel everyone's bird .

i have to program every bird to feel the way a beginner wont have a hard time with

and omg the different radios i have to learn how to use ever ones radio airtronics/t-6/futaba/turnigy/spectrum just to name a few
i have a lot of patients and a lot of fun building and repairing.

hope i can find a job in a hobby shop one day havin fun fixing helicopters all day i really like this hobby and i wish i had a field to fly in my back yard or at work would be nice id have some pretty good flying skills by now.

Do you have any idea how scary that statement is.

If you are a self proclaimed novice, how can you fix other peoples helis and test them? Especially a beginners heli?

I also think that I heard that you CHARGE for this service.

If you are truly a Novice, how can you , in good faith, charge to set up other peoples helis.

I've been flying for 5 years, and I still wouldn't think of charging someone to set up their heli.....

Something smells fishy here.

Wickedclown, seems like you found something that you love to do, regardless of what other people "think" is "right or wrong" on what YOU DO.
If you doing something good for others, keep it up and have fun.....

I find that if you fly on a regular basis, more than three and you'll have birds always waiting on maintenance.

That being said I have 4 Rex's

450 pro
550
600N
700N

Looking to sell 450, as I now have more than three
