I have 2 helis.

1) T-Rex 700e
2) T-Rex 600 ESP

I find that having too many helis does not allow proper maintenance and causes neglect to some of the birds. As far as having 2 big helis, it gives me the opportunity to maintain both of them effeciently. I am just speaking for myself. With work, bills, cleaning, running a funeral home, maintaining a concession trailer, photography, and satisfying the woman, I do not have a lot of time on my hands.

Early on, one of my heli Mentors told me to keep my 450 (I was already wanting to upgrade to a larger heli when I could barely fly figure 8's) until I had it mastered. He was right and I think my skills progressed faster by doing so. I had 3 helis once. A cheap EXI for night flying, Trex 450SE V2 that I learned on and a trex 600 ESP. That was the most I ever had at one time. Now I just keep a big heli for the field (Logo 600) and a little heli for the house (450Pro). I'm still trying to master these two and probably never will so will just stay at two. Each heli has it's own feel, roll/flip/collective rates, so if you keep changing helis all the time and don't get used to any one, your brain will always be "getting used" to a new heli, rather than getting comfortable enough to try new stuff.

High Voltage just works better

Yep!

The helicopters, the trains, the stationary steam engines, and the antique car would all go to keep the woman.

Not even a contest!

Yes, I agree. I love my woman more than anything. She is the best! There is nothing I wouldn't do for her.

Alright, she is no longer standing behind me.

LONG LIVE HELIS!

Helis
These days I find it's not the number of machines but rather the uniqueness and quality of the machine that attracts me...Plus I'm really not into anything smaller than the 600's these days ...getting too old to mess or see the little guys..

I only have 15.. But a good majority of them are rare or unique in some way

Im wondering where one could even keep 35 helis. I have 8 on a wall and a few in boxes and I always seem to be looking for more room for tools, parts, etc.
Personally, I would love to have 35. For me they are like art pieces. I would rather have them than spend a lot on traditional art pieces.

"Im wondering where one could even keep 35 helis."

Some are hanging from the ceiling, some are bagged (in Heliguard bags), some are boxed (the very small ones in Home Depot Tool boxes, the 450's in flight leader cases). Two 500's are in HeliHobby cases.

Not all of them fly and many will probably never fly again. It is not worth it in terms of spare parts availability, especially for things like the Revolution and HeliBaby, as the flight performance would be less than satisfying compared to more modern machines. One of the two Falcon 808's may fly again, as might the Iroquois. The Kavan never will. I intend to get a Cricket going again, eventually.

The Hirobo Ministar is still new in the box for almost 30 years now. The Chaos is being assembled and the Fusion has just been acquired.

I try to keep about 20 modern or relatively modern machines flyable at any given time. Spreading out the use over multiple helicopters spreads the wear out, so most are in service at any given time.

I also like have a lot of the current machines to test. I do a lot of testing for KBDD (Dampers, Tail Blades, and Paddles) and it come in handy, when someone starts at thread asking if "A" flies better than "B". If I have both machines, I can answer from experience (reasons why I have the Logo, the Chaos, the Fusion, and some of the others).
