Sbus into full size vbar. When I get to the receiver screen, I click on the bind button, then I get to another screen which tells me to unplug and replug power to rx. When I go to the transmitter screen, nothing happens. I do not think the rx and vbar are talking to one another. Servos have power, vbar sensor glows bright/dim, but I do not get the cyclic pumps and the colored channel sliders on the computer screen do not work.

I've checked all connections, they are correct. I am ready to pull my hair out. If the helicopter wasn't so expensive I would have smashed it into a thousand pieces by now.

I did google search and watched the MrMel videos and nada. Please walk me through step by step how to bind to sbus rx and vbar.

Please help.

I don't have Futaba/Sbus, but surely it's not only a matter of cycling power to the Rx.
Don't you bind the Rx to the Tx as normal? (VBar isn't even part of the equation is it??)

If it's like Spektrum satellites, the Vbar only sends a "Yes, bind on next power up" signal to the Rx.
Are you doing whatever is required at the Tx end? (Hold button in while powering on etc) ??

I'm not sure about Futaba, but for Spektrum, the power cycle needs to be very fast: < 1sec

Yes, and thank you. The rx and tx are bound.

just spoke with Al

He said you have to bind the RX to the TX THROUGH the VBar, and seeing as you already bound the RX to the TX before installing the VBar may be cause of the problem.

Create a new model in the TX and start over, but bind only through the VBar

Found my problem....the jumper wire for the sbus to vbar was faulty - replaced and now it works. Too tired to do more tonight.
