That sounds more like the BEC failed and not the controller.

Agreed. If it was the CC esc, the whole model would have been a loss due to fire or a high altitude crash. The cyclics would not have been fried. The bec ceased to perform, a high voltage ran through, frying all the servos.

Ok. So CC rectified the esc problems. Now they have a bec problem?

Back to the drawing board.

Your post is very misleading. BEC and ESC are obviously completely different. The BECs are a separate problem for Castle.

So, if he chose to go with CC ICE2 and WR Hercules BEC, and the BEC fails, it would still be CC ICE2 burns?

Better yet, Jive with CC BEC burn and you would call this a Jive Smokes?

I have heard a rumor of a WR BEC failure, but I think it's just that, a rumor. So failures do happen.

Using a CC BEC with a Jive, I would just call that stupid.

bec's fail ALL the time not just CC but about any brand on the market, that is why I and most people I know are just using separate receiver packs, much more reliable setup.

There are no Ice2 BECs

The ICE2 label corresponds to the series of high voltage controllers which DO NOT HAVE A BEC.

PLEASE
EDIT OR CLOSE IT! the post is misleading by saying the ESC smoked!

what size BEC was he using? you stated "you saw the BEC was putting out 22 volts", just curious as to what BEC he was using? Or ... was there any BEC at all. Vould it be that the ESc was installed , no BEC, user thinking the ESC had an internal BEC and fried his electronics, blaming the ESC?
