has anyone discovered a different way or place to mount the esc on the 400? the wires interfere with the canopy, and make it really hard to take it off and put it on.

actually the direct mikado german site recommends a hacker motor and esc, even though they have a pretty good relationship with kontronik, which is what most people run. I know rnkasp and was just giving him grief

I use the "recommended" Hacker X70 Sb Pro and Hacker A40-12S when I was spinning 425 blades.

I've stretched to an SE running 473 blades and changed to an A40-10L 1100kv hacker. (not the electric turbine version) This works great.

If you want to use the Hacker ESC with the vbar governor you can, but the auto bailout and idle options don't work very well.

For my sport flying style the internal Hacker ESC does a pretty good job

I mount my ice 100 below the main gear on my L10 and it works great and is more protected than up front or on the side.
