As long as that fits within inner diameter of headlock good to go.

Hi guys

Just got it all apart.

The head block is 13mm, so my shim plan won't work.....

Will head down to LHS and see what Trueblood dampers they have, may have to order on line. They have some for the TRex line....

The problem i see is the dampers are 8 x 3 mm. So the OD is 14mm. With the 13mm head block, the dampers want to 'jump out'

I can see why a one piece damper works better.

Regards
Paul

With two shims they don't jump out. Btw trueblood or kbdd 600 Rex dampers work in logo 500/600 but don't recommend kbdd ones they eat thrusts.

Hi OICU812

Thanks. Will see what i can get at the LHS.
Will also try 2 shims.

I ideally want to find 8 x 12 x 0.5 mm shims. To have the shim stop on the highpoint of the damper is not the best plan....

Regards
Paul

Paul,

The Trex600 TrueBlood Dampner is the same one used for the Logo 600. I have actually tried this and it works.

Specifically this part:

i could be wrong, but it appears from the picture that the alignment of your herringbone center is off a bit from pinion to gear, that is to say the herringbone centers don't meet. could be an optical illusion though.

Hi guys

mmc205: it is aligned, thanks. Just the angle of the picture.

I got it together again. Used Trex 600 dampers. Found a thick and thin one with 1,0 mm shim worked well.

Also found Kasama shims 8 x 12 x 0,5 mm

Will report back. Thanks guys.

Regards
Paul

We also had this problem but after we put two 0.5mm shims per side (these are the ones that come with the dampeners so you probably need to buy another set of dampeners to get an extra pair of shims) AND made sure that the blades are very well balanced (a tip from dave dahl)we have had many flights without issue. Dont assume that high end carbon fiber blades are perfectly balanced - they often still need a tweak...

Really nice lookin heli. Love that canopy too. I just converted my 600 to an SE. I've been flying mostly Align stuff and I have to say the hype was true. I absolutely love the way the Logo flies.

I don't do 3D....no wait. Oh thats right, I can't do 3D!

+1 on the shims, i had the identical problem, which also caused a bit of vibration in flight due to the slightly differing cg's of the blades due to the fact the grips were shifted one way slightly. I ended up using trueblood dampers. trublood on the outside, one mikado oring on the inside (inside being towards the mainshaft) gives you a stiffer feel, opposite a bit softer. Both seem to be stiffer than stock though.

I'd love to put my TDR head on my logo to see how the rocking head felt with pretty stiff damping..that would be a cool experiment.

Hi

I won't let him......you just don't share wives or helicopters.

Just kidding.

Would love to see him abuse it. The only problem is i fly mode 1 and we need to setup a bubby box or bind his radio to my heli. It only takes 5 min, but the heat here makes us lazy.....thats my excuse.

Hi HeliJockey

No. UPS brought it to my door. There was no charge..... this time.

Sometimes UPS needs to pay customs and then they bill you the customs + Dhs75 extra for there 'work'
