SO i took a bunch of parts that i had in my collection and put together a 450 Mutt. It has a Copter X frame and Head. HK Tail and all the rest of if is pretty much align other than the Gyro which is a HK401-b... My gyro is set at 75% My belt is not backwards when i spin the main blade Clockwise the tail spins backwards so i think thats normal.. but when i spin up the tail just spins in circles i tried to mess with the Gain settings but its not helping i even tried to reverse the gyro and rutter on the transmitter still no help... ANY IDEAS... I"M KINDA A NEWBIE if you havn't noticed only been flying about 7 months

Did you mean to do that? Yeah its called a crash landing its a new trick

the gyro has to be reversed.... well possibly

spin the head by hand and look at the tail, notice the pitch , then push the tail away from you and check if the gyro is compensating the correct way. There are dozens of reasons why your tail is not working ranging from defective equipment to a wrong setup. best way to get an answer is to post all your equipment and even snap some pics

no babe i swear i sold my other heli to buy this one :)

You should be able to reverse it on the gyro itself.

Standing at the back of the heli, put a tail blade at 12 o'clock and fold it so its pointing at the front.
On the radio, put left stick at full right position
Tail blades should be pointing to the right......
if it is the servo is going the right direction
if its not, reverse the rudder servo.

again at the back of the heli, blade at 12 and pointing to the front.
quickly move the NOSE of the heli to the left. Tail blade should point to the right. If it is the gyro is Correcting in the right direction. If its not, change the gyro Sense direction.

Go fly

Also you may want to double check the set screw on the tail output shaft. I have had this loosen before and not realized it. This would not allow any load to be put on the tail. A simple way to get the tail set up on a 450 is to go to Lowes and get a lazy susan cabinet base and zip tie the heli to it. This will let you set up the gain to an extent.

So i got the tail problem fixed.. It was a mixture between not enough padding underneath the gyro and not enough gain to hold it.. I still have a few more kinks to work out to make her perfect but at least i got 1 battery under my belt of hovering! I sincerely appreciate all of your help im sure i will have a few more topics in the near future
