Hey guys.

Can anyone confirm if YGE (or anyone else) has a 100% bulletproof ESC to use with the V-Bar governor?

I'm debating between getting a 120 Heli Jive (for it's gov. and auto-rotation bailout) or a YGE (and use V-Bar gov.) for a new Logo 600 SE.

I do not want to take my chances with a Hobby Wing or equivalent.

If none are 100% proven yet, I will probably stick with the Jive.

Thanks.

Its still not 100% yet, the YGE seems to have issues with some motors, you cannot run low thr on vbar gov like with jive.

I personally am still waiting for things to mature a bit.

There are other issues anyway, my TDR with LE scorpion motors has problems too and vbar gov will make it worse!

Thanks craze.

I was going to wait until things matured more too.

Thing is, a friend and I are ready to pull the trigger on 2 600SE's (and I really want the auto bail-out feature).

I guess I'll probably end up with a Heli Jive 120 when they are released again. Unless, I get the Hyperion phase sensor but it seems this is getting overly complicated.

I like simple.

I would not rule out the Hobbywing 120 HV and the V-Bar gov. It is a proven combination that will spank any ESC gov. The ability of a governor that is built into the V-bar to do feed foward is not something to overlook.

I use V-bar gov and HW 120 on a Logo 600. Kicks butt. I used to use a CC 80HV that I had working very well on governor (150rpm max change doing hard 3D). But the difference with an intergated gov versus using the ESC gov is night and day. I found this to be the case with a nitro bird as well, but to even a greater degree.

I had good luck with the vbar gov, hobbywing and scorpion 4525 le using TP 65c 5000 may batteries. I had 3 speed run on my henseleit mp-xle so I know I was using a lot of amps, really pushing it; I just got the TP batts and wanted to see the power. Motor was hot and esc was warm. The combination was doing good until my tail broke loose, too much power for the current tail...(I need to change tail assembly), and crash badly. The governor was holding well.

I also use this combo on my trex 700. Almost 100 flights and no issues. The only difference is on the trex I use 700mx 530kv motor.

Thanks rexxing.

I just have a hard time putting a Hobbywing ESC on my $2,500.00+ heli because I still don't trust them to NOT catch on fire.

I think even Fredrik had one go up in flames earlier this year.

Flying season is just about over here so I guess I'll build the heli sans the ESC and just wait until someone has a bullet-proof ESC that will work with the V-Bar gov.

I just bought the latest YGE 90HV and intend to use it with VBar governor. The motor is the Xera 400KV on the Logo 600SE. Anyone have experience with this combo?

Presently running a rock solid Kontronik HV80 so I'm not sure about making the switch.....
