Just started flying electric on a regular basis and it sure is more convenient than nitro.

I didn't realize how fast you can park and be in the air with electric.
Sure is nice to get in a quick flight or 2.

And the way I fly the flight times are similar.

So I have to admit, even though I miss the smoke and smell, electric is better.
I guess I need to sell my nitro stuff and my Trex600.

I am hooked.

Thanks, TheWoodCrafter

The smoke, the smell and the clean up had me an electric guy from my second visit to watch guys fly and clean up. Plus the price of a gallon of nitro OMG I can run my 2cycle generator for my electrics for alot less.
Course electic has more initial cost but it is worth the cost.

Friends don't encourage friends to fly helis! It can cause part shortages.

Just the power supply. a generator or deep cycle batteries unless the field has power.

yea, buying a generator can hurt,it is probably more cost effective now for people that have a decent club to just get power run to the field.

Wingman,

You forgot to throw in the cost of about 4 batteries.

You are buying your fuel a year in advance remember.

why four? with chargers these days you can charge a battery in 10 minutes and if you are at a club and have to take turns flying one battery is sufficient. also a battery that will last 500 flights or so on a 700 size machine is only $300 and being that $300 of fuel will only get you about 60 flights (two to three days of flying for me) I would say even in this comparison batteries are WAY cheaper.

If you want to get another electric, leave Align behind and try out the new Synergy E6/E7, you won't regret I promise.

Man, I still can't get over how convenient electric is.
I am in the air 20 seconds after I stop the car.
why four? (batteries)
I can get 4 flights in and I don't even need to get the charger out.
For my flying that's over 30 minutes.

Thanks, TheWoodCrafter
