Just got back my o.s 55hz from hobby services. looking forward to tunning it soon. i run cp 30% fuel. ive always been tought to never let the back plate get to warm after the nettles have been leaned out. is this true? if not then what is the best way to see if the tune is correct, smoke, engine noise, ect. thanks tha g man.

If I followed the backplate method, this engine would always be slobbering rich. YMMV.

It's really hard to describe it all in text.

SmacktalkRC episode #1 does a decent job explaining it. But ultimately, it's just an experience thing.
