Because, to me, they seem to do the same thing

Travel adjust expands or contracts points (L, R, U, D)independently, DR output screen does both simultaneously

Also, travel adjust is used to tune out servo interactions.
Sometimes you get a servo that travels a little further than the others so you'll need something like AIL-100% PIT-97% ELE-100% to make the swash stay level all the way through collective input.

You level the swash mechanically at 0° pitch and you level it with travel adjust at 100% throttle and 0% throttle.

Not all helis use the same channels either sooo......

Dual rates (on high end radios triple rates or more are possible) allow you to flip a switch to change your pitch, yaw and roll rate and expo to go from mild to wild. It is a great tool to sort out a new set up.

Travel adjust or end point adjust controls total throw of a single servo. Dual rates control a function, like elevator. On a mechanical mixed ship like a traditional raptor, they are pretty much the same. But on a CCPM ship, they area not. If you set a dual rate on elevator, it effects total travel of all three servos as used for tipping Swash fore and aft
