I want to bind so that my throttle will not go under 25% if signal is lost. When I try to bind with my throttle set to 25% I get a warning from the DX8 and nothing happens. Any Ideas.

If I'm not mistaken, that is a 'failsafe' option and nothing to do with binding. Unless I misunderstood. But again, I'm coming from Futaba and it might be something I'm unaware of with this particular brand.

First of all I had to turn off the throttle warnings in my DX8. Then I talked to Horizon Hobbies and each receiver is different. Some cannot do Preset Failsafe. So I had to get a receiver that would do the Preset Failsafe. Some only do Smartsafe Failsafe.

yep - depends how old your AR7000 is. You can test it by turning on everything as normal on the bench the shutoff your TX. The throttle and collective should go to the point where you set it at. Setting collective at near 0 for failsafe is a really good idea - found out the hard way when my 450 went into failsafe where it was set to full stick down. Too bad I was hovering inverted inside. 450 screwed itself into the ceiling then it rained 450 parts. - I think that was due to a short that was causing problems.

Set failsafe to 0 and you'll have a fighting chance. If it's a momentary outage you may hardly notice it except the RX will be blinking (warning sign). Found that out with my 250 and troubleshooting the issue the DX8 was having with AR6100's inside metal building (which has been resolved -need an update to the DX8).
