this is a short video of some of my flying . I can do alot of tricks but not fluid . I have no orientation problems but I can seem to get it to flow and keep my attention.I can do low and slow or the fast crack stuff but as I said NO flow .

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

Transitioning into different moves is a skill in its self. I found it takes a little thought to go from one move to another. I also practice entering and exiting moves. This helped me.

We were just discussing skill building on another thread. I say, don't pressure yourself into flying a certain way you think you're supposed to fly unless you have a real reason to do it in a compressed time line. Just have fun. It may take you a couple of years, but if you don't worry about it and enjoy the hobby, it will come naturally with experience, and you won't feel the stress of trying too hard. Fun is the goal, not a judge's flight score. If you really want fluidity, it will come. I have tended to go up and start out flying figure eights, and throwing in moves at places in the circuit. It makes me enter and exit in some fashion with lateral movement of some sort. I doubt I could ever impress any advanced pilots, but I am progressing enough to make it gratifying. Finally, I have to admit that going FBL really brought the next level closer for me, as the heli tends to track better with less of an effort to do so. More fluid moves gave me a lot more confidence. Flying them on the simulator also does the same for me. And I really enjoy flying on the sim too!

Jeff,

Can you do the circles and fig 8s (not lazy 8)?
If you can, can you post those instead?

I sometimes hear people calling it them basic. But, it is 10x more difficult to execute than a rainbow or any smack would. It is what I call fundamental building block before moving to the next step.

For circuits, set the center in front of you and nearest point at about 10-15' out and go around at constant height and speed.

Being able to do 30-45deg banked circuits well in 8 orientations (forward left, right, backward left, right and the inverted parts)
will open up more flexibility to your flight.

When you can do those, connect them to do fig 8s that look like two circles stuck together at center. Then you can do snake fig8s.

When you can do them well, the next leap in skill will come from adding pirouettes to your circuits (namely piro circuit).

The names of tricks differ depending on who says but I can do piro pie dish , rolling circles ,piro pogos, all orientation flight both dirrections . Yes I'm not perfect and could get cleaner but still the transition parts look real bad . I feel no matter how good I get at one trick flight doesent look good without the magic flow.

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

Your flying looks very good and nice control. I would throw in more right side up and inverted circuts. Some tic tocs all around would'nt hurt. The piro flips looked very nice.

I have learned if you move the sticks the right way you wont crash.

Lon is on my ignore list as well... When someone has to use that many alias names, it tells you something about their character...

Benny speaks truth. Precision flying is much harder than throwing a heli around aimlessly and adds some continuity/fluidity and aesthetics to the flight. Smack talk vids are great learning tools for flying. I think it was vid 3 that Bert and Bobby were talking about flying small and big and in different orientations to show that you can do it. and provide variety to the flight. An old Alan Szabo video from 2005 or so shows him flying nose in loops transitioning into death spirals. It's not hard to do if you are oriented and adds another view of your heli during the flight.

High Voltage just works better

After reading my past post,I never thought of this..
Hi BladeStrikes

Lonnie, don't take this the wrong way but I have to ask?Why do you reply to these guys? You reply defending yourself but all it does is make you look bad and the drama keep's going, then fall's back on "YOU".Leave it alone, everyone see's what gos on and when you reply like they want, you look like the tool.Take it for what it's worth but you can't look bad if you don't reply.Seen good people get banned for replying to people that should be banned over the years.Don't loose what's you have, you know what I mean

But you ARE banned. Look here

Instead of serving your punishment, you created a new account and pretend to be someone else. Where is your integrity?

helidude30,
I will say I was wrong for the comment I made which was on youtube, not RR.After having my flying and video's trashed so many time's,I returned it but like I was told,it doesn't make me any better.I am sorry for the comment and don't do stuff like that.
Dood is VERY good at starting drama on other member's thread's but is quick to get someone banned for doing it on his thread, just check out his past post. He's went as far as trash talking my flying site and member's from my club had to step in and say something.Rogman88 has flat out bashed his buddy Chuck's flying in a PM to me and when I said something about him stabbing his friend in the back,he follows me making childish comment's.It's funny because I can read my past post and the exact same guy's trashing me are doing it to many other's,like a pack of dog's that don't let up.Like laughingstill with the "get me banned" comment .I mean really, ban me for what?Dood posted the comment, not me but Laughingstill say's report me lol. These few guy's can put it out but can't take it and won't be happy until your banned. When they get ya banned, they move to the next person or two that feed's them which is what im learning im doing ..It's cool talking with these guy's until you say something they don't like, then your a target..

Jeff,
Yup,I was wrong for the youtube comment and once again,it wont happen again and im sorry.Sent ya a pm and go from there.
