Hello,

I am currently utilizing a Curtis Total G (bought used from member
on RR) and I notice that it does something peculiar. When the governor is active it keeps the RPM's steady but upon detecting a change in RPM on the high side, it seems to overcompensate and
brings the rpm's way down. Then the throttle has to be "coaxed" up to get the rpms back up. This is in normal mode.

The magnet is mounted to the fan housing and I've checked the pickup to make sure it's being detected via the software. Hardware setup seems to be fine.

Total G is mounted on a Pantera 50 with OS 50 Hyper motor.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Where can the Total G be sent to be tested??

Thanks!!!

When buying any used equipment like the Total-G is needs to have all the parameters reset. There is a function for that in the interface for the Flight Control side. You always need to go through all the setup Flight Control and the Gyro and Governor side. It would help if you would post what all your throttle curves are. When setting up the governor make sure you have the trim at least half when setting the low and high throttle limits. Also, I'd make sure your sensor is working properly. You may need to adjust the distance the mag is from the sensor.

I hope this helps..

Thanks for your response!
I'm going to go through the setup again and reset all the
parameters like you said.

I think Marshall hit it on the head with checking your high and low settings in the gov menu.

This is how I set my high and low....normal mod low stick is low....idle 2 with the stick all the way up is high.

Also make sure you update the firmware to the latest and reset the parameters.
