After a ton of reading, I'm not sure I want to stay with the 3gx that is coming in my kit. Should I go with the beastx? If I go with it, what are you guys running for receiver setups? Are you running a full blown receiver, or just the one satellite? I also heard on a podcast that there is a cable available to run two satellites, but this seems contrary to everything I have seen available. Do those of you that have the beastx miss the gov? Help...hahah.

I am running BeastX on my two 550E with AR8000. You want an external receiver. One sat is not enough, and the dual cables really won't give you true antenna diversity.
The 3GX is also a very capable unit, and supports 2 sats. I would fly that first and see how you lie it.

Running the BeastX without a separate Rx is not recommended (even says so in the manual). I'm not sure why people say that one satellite is not enough. I've been flying single satellite's on my 600 forever. I use TC to control my HS not gov.
