August for me
If next June is anything like the one we had this year in Kansas City, then it's more likely to be rainy, windy and cold. August was hot, but August has a better track record of sunny days with less precipitation and calmer winds. I'll still attend if it's held in June, but I'll also be anticipating weather issues while I'm there. Just sayin'.

I will be going regardless of the date as June or Aug works for me, but I still think it should remain as is for 2012 and give some time for the organizers to REALLY collect information and see how other events will affect or be affected by the selected date. This cannot be decided from forum votes alone. Even with the online votes, several people may not even attend regardless of the date due to other commitments or problems that come up.

There is a lot of stuff to do and I think the organizers should concentrate on making next year a success rather than worry about switching the dates and possibly cutting attendance (yes it could help attendance, but we don't know for sure) and or vendor participation. We have less than a year to prep for 2012. If change is to be made, it should be decided for 2013 after.

August
Late June was in the high 70's for us in the Dayton area, which isn't far from Muncie, and it was very nice.
Trust me, June weather is crazy in Muncie, they get much bigger thunderstorms that what we see here 81miles SW.

I just wish they separate IRCHA and the Heli Nats, is just not working well for me.

I think I would prefer June but I am cool with either. This year the weather was amazing and glorious. In 2010 it was so horrible I debated coming back again. I wouldn't mind a June area. I'm sure September would suck because of everyone taking final summer vacations and kids being back in school even though I don't have to deal with any of that.

I vote August
I would like to see XFC and IRCHA seperated by time as is.
To much in one month and nothing to look forward to if they end up in one month.
Weather wise the average temp for June and August are almost the same here. It's just a gamble when the hot days will hit.
August would bring more humidity while the weather would be more stable later in August.

With the exception of the last few hours of IRCHA (monsoon),the weather in August usually trends hot and dry. Being a local, June tends to trend more unpredictable. The atmosphere is unstable as it's transitioning from Spring to Summer. It's likely(relative to August) that June will present a higher chance of multiple days of potential rain

August... IRCHA is the Super Bowl of our hobby. Imagine the Super Bowl in the NFL happening in September?

Won't companies also have to change their product cycles for a June date?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
