Hey

I'm building a Y6 multicopter (really cool helis btw!) but now I'm wondering which camera would best suit my purposes. Requirements include an AV out connection that can be used during operation, in both photo and video mode. I'm using an Airwave 5.8gHz transmitter. The lighter the better ofcourse, but I'm suspecting the heli can lift up to 400 grams if necessary. I considered the Panasonic Lumix GH2 becase it has a manual video mode, but apparently it only outputs HDMI signal when recording video. Same thing with Sony NEX cameras? Are there any cheap AND light HDMI to analog video coverters available? Does anyone know if the new Lumix GF3 supports AV out? Canon has many pocket cameras that can do that, but I'd also want to shoot in low light so I'm not interested to buy a camera with a small image sensor. Which camera do you recommend?

All answers appreciated

Add: Or is it wiser to buy a separate still and video camera?

No one knows? Am I looking for something that doesn't exist yet?

Hi,

Why not use a Microcam like these

Mount it next to your 4/3rd to frame your shot, chose the correct lens to have the same focal as your main cam. simple and you only add the weight of the microcam as you can use the same batt as your downlink if you chose the correct voltage.
