First of all, I would like to thank Kyle/Dave Dahl. They have been instrumental in the Mikado arena.. I finally got my Logo 400 after being antsy for so long and saving up $$$

Setup

Logo 400
CY 72 tail blades
CY FBL 430 blades (Edge FBL on the way to experiment)
Align 70A ESC (Krontronik 60LV on the way!!)
Scorpion 1400
18t
idle 1 80 straight across
idle 2 95 straight across
miniVbar
BLS251 on tail
JR 3517mg on cyclics
35C 2600 mah packs (65C 2700/3000 packs on the way) 4 mins flight times
15/-15 pitch curves..

From reading the forums, the Logo 400 is a little on the heavy side. I didnt expect the power explosion and the POP.. it definately had the WOW factor.. Flips and rolls and climbouts were ridiculous!! it was SICK!!!! Im not at ease using the align 70A so Im going to wait until I get the Krontronik before letting her rip!! I dont think Ive gotten it to bog..

Im absobutely loving this bird!! I just dont know why I waited this long to get a Mikado Logo.. but wish I got on the bandwagon a long time ago. Along with the miniVbar, everything was locked in.. So, the girlfriend was next to me saying how LOUD it was and says that I shouldnt be flying in the front so late in the evening because apparently from what she says, its LOUD......... Hmmm, Im deaf so doesnt bother me!!!!!!!

Ok.. Just Sayin' Wanted to get my comments out on the Mikado forum.. I will not go back to Trex after flying the logos. Anyone share my thoughts? Feel free to share yours as well

It always takes trying something different to know. Most that started T-Rex, yea try a Logo you'd never go back, pretty common! Have fun!

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

I had similar feelings when I first got my L400 flying, it was my first logo & first experience with vbar, hell of combo coming from flybarred aligns. I recently stretched my L400 to swing 470mm blades & I have a renewed love for the machine. I'm really enjoying the 550 size.

What is your setup for the stretched Logo? What size packs? How long flight time do you get?

Thanks!

Jive 60 is too small we pulled easy +80amps on the 400, get the 100 lv and keep it for later upgrades. The story about the jive being able to sustain double amp draw with heatsink is only partially true as it doesnt work on all motors.

Common sense may not be common after all

60LV
Well..

Kyle Dahl flies this setup and has hundreds of flights without issues..

I doubt I push my helicopters harder than Kyle.. I think it will be fine.

Cheers

Does that Scorpion motor really need a 100A Jive to be safe?

With 430s id think your align 70 barely breaks a sweat, but id also sleep easier knowing I flew a 60lv.

If your planning on stretching it, id go with something larger though.

Yup..

The align is "OK".. I smoked one of my align ESC's a couple years ago.. I have a bad memory of that so I figured why not go with the 60LV

If I plan to stretch it, Im gonna go with the 120 because I will be moving to bigger birds later on and overkill is always good

I REALLY REALLY like this logo.. the power is unbelievable... It REALLY moves... Im impressed with the Radix FBL 430's.. I have EDGE blades on the way to try just for posterity's sake.

I will do a Radix FBL vs Edge FBL blades once I get them and make the comparison I wonder if the CY 430mm blades will be different from the Edge 423mm blades.. Hmm that extra few mm's heh

Cheers

Please check the balance of the Edge vs the Radix blades out of the box when you do your comparison.

I have a 400 and 400se, and you are right sir, the 400 with a 1400 on it has massive pop. I even flew it with a flybar head for a few months and it was fun. My esc took out all my servos, so it just sits now, and my 400se gets all the attention.

If you think your Logo 400 is awesome, wait until you get a hold of a Logo 500 or 600.

It's a whole new world out there with the larger Logos.
