I usually don't loose my cool over a new RC heli but this one is making my temp go up. My life drugzz, cool looking, bad ass helicopters and I think the SAB Goblin is going to cause me to have a raging fit until I see one hanging on the wall in my hobby room. I also need all 3 fuzes too.

If any one has any pictures please post

I was VERY tempted to pre-order this thing, called helidirect 2 days ago and would've been 13th on the list. Unfortunately, I don't want to A. be a guinea pig or B. be sticker shocked by part pricing to not want to even fly it, not to mention getting this would basically be 2500 right out the door by the time its ready to go and a couple sets of batts. I'm really focusing on taking my flying to the next level and had to come back to reality and ditch the bling and go for substance instead. Its tough though, very very tough. SAB did a great job on the looks of this machine and innovation in design.

I had seen some pictures that were posted on facebook, and I was shocked to see a belt driven jackshaft that has a pinion on it that drives the main gear.....but I guess to each their own.. and belt driven tail

I Google translated the SAB Goblin webpage, and they say they did that to make it as quiet as possible. I suppose if the belt is big enough, it will be OK.

Not that I ever plan on owning one of these, a quiet drive train comes from anything but a straight cut gear, or rockcrusher style. I see it has an angled main drive so that makes it quiet....but the belt drive pinion is kinda over complicated....not to mention it results in more parisitic drag due to having to lug the belt around and turn another set of bearings. I'm seriously anti belt and that comes from the days of racing on road rc cars....absolute pain in the ass to maintain proper tension, tight but not too tight. I think they have created the preverbial "muffler bearing"

Now that heli looks like big $$$$. I could see the frames costing $160+ for both sides. However, from the motor up looks very cool!

Considering that it comes with main blades and tail blades, it is actually cheaper than the new MA Whiplash.

I will definately buy the Goblin 700 around March, and will also seriously consider the 600 as well when it comes out.

I've spent the last few years being anti-belt as well, but you've got to admit these new electric belt driven helicopters are QUIET.

Belts++ Same here! Now I'm a big belt fan, the Synergy E6/E7 belt system is really quiet and you don't even notice it.
