Not at that price!

What is the difference between the $500 and $1,000 one?

Great price. Way less than Vbar or 750, even less than the Beastx.

The biggest problem that I can see with the GT5 is mounting it. You already have wires coming out of it from two sides and need to have the third side accessible to program it.

Wires out of two sides if you use satellite receivers. If you use SBus, or even just a non JR/Spektrum setup, all the wiring is on one side.

Just pointing out a potential problem, for some people. But, the price is good. Another vendor had the GT5 since Oct. 4th and wanted $228.00 USD.

There is lots of useful comparisons etc by a guy who has had one for a while. His name is Edvard R and the info can be found in the Henseleit section of another popular forum. The dude is a real TDR "freak" and loves the G-T5!

I have just ordered a Titan X50 with FBL head and am planing to fit the G-T5 with an AR7100r so I can use the governor as the only downer of the G-T5 is the lack of a spare Chanel to control a gov

It also doesn't work on DSMX, only DSM2 at 22ms frame rate.

DSM2 also runs at 11ms, It depends on the TX! The DSMX radio's ae a bit dodgy anyway.
Anyway what is the difference between a separate RX plus the G-T5 and a VBar and its separate sensor? and the VBar only has an average gov and no spare channel to run a switchglow.
It would seem that none of the best FBL units are the total package!

Apparently not with the G-T5.

Main concern is DSM2. It is dodgy! DSMX is the new, reliable system. You would think TT would have planned for this.

LOL Rexi, Like it going to affect you being a Futaba flyer.
DSM2 is totally reliable, Brown outs are a B.S excuse made by people who have not built there helis correctly or simply dumb thumbed it into the dirt!
I quite like the idea of a separate RX as even if you have a damaged sat lead (or two) you will still have a reliable signal and units like the AR7100r have a reliable power bus, regulated rudder and throttle voltage and a great gov!
