I like them; I used to use them in all my helis including my big heli. Recently I got some ec5 and switched over my big helis. But I had had over 150 flights on the xt60 without no problems.

Good for 500 or smaller. For 550 and up, EC5's are much better.

Life is meaningful flying helis.

Compatibility
I went with EC5's all around based mostly upon my largest battery need and my charger. On my 600, I run a large single 6s 5800-8000mah main and a separate BEC-controlled 2s 3800mah for RX and DJI. The larger batteries need the larger EC5. The wire gauges need some presuasion to get in. Now if I need to borrow a battery at the field, I'm SOL but I don;t like borrowing anyway. This is a reason why many use Dean's.

The EC5's are easy to solder and build. Use some electr grease to break in. The XT60's are clean but limited amperage capacity IMHO.
