I saw a similar thread in the flybarless section, but i wanted to make the same query specifically about my Logo 6003D.

I have a new 6003D and there is a slight tail twitch. I have gone over every inch of the thing, replacing a tail o/p shaft, replacing the tail belt and tail belt drive gears, adjusting the head by lubing the dampeners and making sure the damping wasn't too tight or too loose, etc, etc. I have made incremental gains until it is almost (but not quite) perfect. It should be perfect, of course!! (I always strive for that in my build and setup).

That is kind of frustrating in itself, because the event log says good health (lots of green checks!), with an occasional raised vibration level (60). My understanding is that is pretty good.

So, i turned to switching out the sensor pad since there aren't any objective vibrations to chase after, per the event log. I tried some clear double sided tape that the car guys use, two layers, then i tried spartan foam, one layer, and then i tried Zeal. The best so far is Zeal with a firm velcro strap over it.

So, I am wondering what the best sensor tape is for this application: Logo 6003d, Vbar full size, black sensor, 5.2.4.

And, if any Logo guru's out there have an insight into other things to check or change, let me know.

Thanks!

Robbie

I am not a Logo guru but I use velcro on all my gyros and receivers for easy removal and vibration protection. Although a single layer may be little loose a velcro strap over the top makes the dampening adjustable. Give it a try and experiment with different tensions.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

Any time I stray away, I always end up finding myself back to using the stock Mikado Vbar tape with no strap.

Do you have your tail grounded and verified that there is continuity? That can cause static hits or twitches.

Thanks.

Boom grounded, front and back, with continuity, also i use a bit of silicone spray on belt, no hits per event log.

Some flights today, excellent performance.

I'll have to get some more stock tape.

i was having the same issue with my TDR, i was using parma tape for the pad (very stiff) and having vibration problems. I replaced it with vbar tape, two layers advised by others since the TDR is such a rigid airframe, and my vbar is a black sensor, which i'm told doesn't vibration isolate as well as the new blue. I'll let you guys know the results if it ever stops raining here.
