Hi,

I see the topic is dead, which is natural. Esky production is no more popular these days. So be it.

I just wonder, does anybody fly nowdays? Does not matter what heli or a plank. I see some member's rare activity sometimes, but not much of us, former Esky lovers (haters).

I do fly. Trying to do this any other day, work and weather allowing. I hope I'm progressing. At least I believe I do. Started to think of 700 class, but very sporadically. Maybe some time, when time and $$$ allows. I fly mostly Outrage G5 at home and Logo 500 at field. Turned to be my favorite helis.

So, the question is: Does anybody fly or Esky killed all enthusiasm?

Anyway, good luck for those who read this.

I still fly all the time. Or at least as the weather allows. These are the helis I fly on regular basis:

Knight 600e on 12s
Trex Pro 450
mCPX

I still have a Trex 500 but don't fly it very much. I had it out a few times this year while waiting for my replacement ICE Hv controller for the Knight. If I'm going to the field, the Knight is my first choice. I took the Pro and the mCPX on vacation with me this year and got a some flights on both while the girls were out shopping.

Last night I took the next step. Picked up a Synergy E6/E7 which I will be building as a 700. Started the build tonight and finished the frame, and landing gear.

Never fly the 2 HBK anymore, would have to dig under a bunch of junk to even find them.

Flying in order of liking

Outrage 550
Trex 500
Trex 450 (very rare)

Just finishing up my Trex 700E V2 FBL build so looking forward to flying that.

Had my own little HBKII up at the park just like week.

If I was not knee deep in plank projects right now, I would have this little dude out flying every day -- it's that much fun to fly!

Not sure of 500 (Protos for ex), but Logo 500 (which is not 500 class) does.

We got rain, rain... All week rain.

My HB CP2's have seen better days. I've seen better days too when I was still with this hobby almost 3-4 yrs. ago.

Now I'm making a comeback. And I decided to restore my helis in this order:

- HB CP2

- Belt-CP2

- Trex 450 V1(or the first gen - will convert to v2 se or whatever tech rave flybarless stuffs)

- Kyosho Caliber 30 (scouting for parts at ebay)

- Kyosho EP concept (500 class which has seen the good ole' days of 540 motors and 8.4v ni-cad- will put brushless in it -they are cheap nowadays)

Right now I fly and tinker with the Trex250 (i'm the second owner).

The CP2 will go on with the separate. The prices of these separate components 4 yrs ago were so so... Now that prices are cheap, these separates (gyro, mixer, esc, 2.4ghz orange receiver, etc.) will allow me the much coveted setup in the past...

"Kyosho Caliber 30 (scouting for parts at ebay)"

If you get hung up on a little part or two, you might PM me. I don't have a whole inventory or anything, but I also am fielding a Caliber 30 as well as a choice few other oldies, so I might have a part or two in my own spares bag, if you get really hard up for some one thing you just can't find.

I have been fartin around with a Blade 400---- first with a tail motor-- now with the stock tail belt set-up. A BP hobbies 450 heli motor (24.95) a stock Eflite 25 amp ESC with a CC 10 amp BEC, stock plastic head with the blade grips flipped, Blade cp flybar paddles for quicker cyclic, cheap chinese hitec 65 clones pulled from a plane thet Kenny destroyed for cyclic and tail. A Gaui 200 gyro that I really like-- works Great with subPar servos $ 6.30 3Dpro HeliDirect 335 mainblades that are the best bang for the buck I have ever come across-- fiberglass, not carbonfiber.

Still flying every weekend.

Hi guys...I'm still around and flying. Though I admit that I do fly airplanes more than helis. However, I'm going work on flying more helis next year. My current fleet is listed below.

Helis:

- EXI 450 Pro
- EXI 500 Carbon Edition
- Gaui X5 FES (have kit and all electronics...getting ready to build)

Airplanes:

Foamies -

- WMPF 32" Yak 55
- WMPF 34" McFoamy
- WMPF 39" McFoamy XL
- Kalteisen 41" Extra 260

Balsas -

- Extreme Flight 60" Edge 540T (Blue/Yellow) - 6S Setup
- Extreme Flight 60" Edge 540T (Red, White, Blue) - 6S Setup
- 3D Hobby Shop 72" Extra 330SC - 8S Setup

In 2012, I'll probably add the T-Rex 600EFL and an 80"+ electric powered 3D airplane to my fleet.
