I've had a good look at both at IRCHA because I didn't know which I wanted and after this I choose the E7. Synergy has less parts count, I think easier to build and fix, lighter and you decide if you make it a 600 class or a 700 class.

I'm glad Steff brought up IRCHA. As those who attended know, there was both a Synergy and a Whiplash in the grand prize raffle.

There were about two raffle tickets in the Whiplash box for every one raffle ticket in the Synergy box. This indicated to me that 2 out of 3 people would have rather won the Whiplash than the Synergy.
I don't think you'll get a less-biased response than that, especially in a Synergy forum.

Dood,

First, the grand prizes were not of equal monetary value.

- E6/7 Prize was Airframe, Servos, CG750, and Blades. No transmitter and No battery
- Whiplash was RTF.

Second, I think your numbers are incorrect. The IRCHA guys told me the count was very close.

Third, this is the worst possible method of telling someone how to select a helicopter. Both are great helicopters, buy the one you like the best for your particular reasons and don't listen to RR trolls. How about a productive post comparing features of the mechanics instead of how many jelly beans are in a jar?

Dood, didn't Bobby already scold you for posts like this?

E7 RTF 10.46 lbs (mine weights that)
Whiplash 11.75 lbs (As per BW youtube video)

For me the weight is very important since I can fly at lower HS and have better flightimes.

They're two different models one has belt the other TT , both can take 710's , You can build the Synergy as an E6 or E7 , can't do that with the Whiplash , don't get me wrong the WHiplash looks nice but I like them simpler .

Another thing is that the lash is not adjustable on the WL and just 3 different GR are available , with the Synergy the setups go anywhere from 6s up to 14s.

Just my opinion,

epc2.

I have no immediate plans to buy either kit. I put my raffle ticket in the box in front of the Whiplash.

Dood you're trying to compare two helis, neither of which you have ever owned and I am going to guess you have not flown either... Can you prove those numbers that you are using for a comparison?? Or did they just come from a little birdy???

The Whiplash is nice, good looking canopy and interesting mechanics. It's battery bay is narrower than the E7. you have no wiggle room with TP65 5000. The E7 pack bay is very wide, easy to fit big or smaller packs. Plus you can set it up as a 600 or 700 heli, parts for both are included.

I have flown both the E6 and E7 and they are really nice.

And you have Matt, the designer to answer your questions. Impressive act to follow.

Life is meaningful flying helis.

Of course I haven't owned or flown either, but I looked closely at both of them. They both look nice.
Like Steff, I was torn at IRCHA, trying to decide which box to put my raffle ticket. It wasn't easy. Almost a toss up, really.
There was more to it than the fact that one radio had a radio and the other didnt. I already own an 8FG so that isn't an issue. That wasn't part of my consideration.
I watched Brian James assemble the Whiplash for a short time as he went over a few of the helicopters features with me and I saw some interesting design features on a helicopter that I've never seen before. I liked what I saw.

Don't scold me because I like the looks and layout of the Whiplash over the Synergy in a thread titled "synergy E7 vs whiplash 90e"
. Do I not have the option of A or B? I choose the wrong answer in the synergy forum and everyone jumps all over my ****. Synergy is a good company backed by a good guy. I've got nothing against Synergy whatsoever. I have the same kind of respect for Miniature Aircraft. Like I said, they both look nice.
Dood you're trying to compare two helis, neither of which you have ever owned and I am going to guess you have not flown either
Can you name one single living person who has flown both? If not, then what exactly is the purpose of this thread?

And Matt, Bobby has never scolded me. Why would he?

Well, to sum it all up, the Whiplash isn't available yet so this thread is pointless.

So far, feedback on the E6/E7 has been nothing short of spectacular, everybody loves them.

Bobby Watts and Matt Botos are both extremely skilled and accomplished professionals. Both will bend over backwards to help you. Neither will settle for second best. Guaranteed, whichever you buy, it will be full of these guys passion and experience. No vacuum cleaners being designed here folks.

I can compare the N5c and E6/E7 to the helis I have owned if anyone is interested let me know:

Yes. I can think of two people without even warming up the brain cell.

@Dood
I was watching the raffle boxes also, and noted that the Whiplash and Synergy raffle boxes were head to head...perhaps you checked them early in the weekend or day before many people had deposited their tickets. The only one with more was the Avant raffle box, I think because it was in a different ticket category. I was watching these boxes carefully, and excited to see an equal interest in both of the helicopters by the time of the drawings. We didn't do much advertising so the interest was built mainly through word of mouth. What this proves? That both the helicopters are new and exciting in their own way.
People are "jumping all over you" because your judging methodology is superficial and inherently flawed in determining the value of anything, let alone two machines which weren't even in the general publics hands yet.

New Way Of Judging Quality
Wow DOOD, You Really Stepped in it on this one!!

Guy's this is one of those Post That you Just Leave it be! To argue with this Guy is Pointless, He doesn't have all the facts. And I agree with Matt and I agree with Bill and the rest of the guy's And Amy. For someone To Judge The Quality of a Heli Based on the Number of Tickets in a Box is The Stupidest thing I have ever Heard! It's so Stupid and ignorant it makes me wonder if you just said that to start something! I know Titles under your name are BS but I Expected Better from a RR Professor. And I Totally agree with Amy in the fact that Both these helis weren't and One Still isn't in the General Public's Hands. I just Think you need to Tweak your judging skills just a wee bit more brother, You clearly Missed the boat on this one!!

Regards,

Kevin

For someone To Judge The Quality of a Heli Based on the Number of Tickets in a Box
Please, find anywhere in any one of my posts where I make any statement in regards to the quality of a helicopter.
I don't. I said they both look like fine helicopters.

I only stated my observation at IRCHA which was the number of tickets in a box. I'm observing and reporting, not judging.
I said I put my ticket in the Whiplash box after I talked to Brian and because I liked some of the new innovative features.

I'm glad you guys are so loyal to and come to the defense of the Synergy brand (I was the same way about a particular brand of helicopter a year or so ago), but it's ridiculous the way you're coming at me like vultures. I've made no attack against Synergy, nor have I made a single negative remark against Synergy whatsoever!
I've shown no disrespect to any brand, why must you all disrespect me?
