I was told the 72 can be converted to 2.4 by "snapping" the module onto the back of the tx. Is that it? No wire to hook up, etc.? Thanks

No wires required. I can't remember what firmware version is required, but it will need that if you've never updated.

I updated my 12Z for 2.4 use by downloading update from Futaba and using my laptop to update my transmitter.
